Federal cooperation

A common approach for common structures

The federal and state governments require a common approach as well as common standards and systems in order to successfully digitalise public administration in Germany. The German IT Planning Council assumes management of the federal collaboration that is necessary to this end. It does this by utilising far-reaching dialogue structures that actively involve all relevant stakeholders and connect them with one another. Efforts to coordinate and move forwards with the digitalisation of the administrative system are facilitated by collaboration on committees and a close exchange of knowledge and information. This is particularly true of the implementation of the Online Access Act, which aims to deliver digitalised administrative services.
